I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard and valued; when they can give and receive without judgement; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.

Therapy sessions occur in a caring environment focused on exploring feelings, concerns, beliefs and behaviors. Together, we start with identifying areas of personal concern, and work towards finding strategies that change things up and focus on positive outcomes. Through the process, there is a wonderful opportunity for learning more about yourself and those around you. Each session starts exactly where you are at on that day. Developing the ability to talk about issues that may be causing you distress is an incredibly important step in building life-long skills of self-awareness, self-care, and self-advocacy.

What does therapy
look like?

When we experience heightened emotions or engage in behaviors that interfere with our happiness and ability to thrive, therapy can be an important support. Situations that may arise:

  • Difficulties with friends, colleagues or family

  • Self-esteem difficulties

  • School or work avoidance

  • Emotional or behavioral concerns

  • Substance abuse

Individual Therapy
Family Therapy and Parenting Support

Managing the many roles in one's life can be challenging even on our best days. Meeting with a parent individually, as a couple, or together with the children, we explore the views and relationships in the family with the primary aim to better overall communication. Family therapy helps to address many different issues, including:

  • Child and adolescent behavioural problems

  • Mental health conditions

  •  Illness and disability in the family

  • Separation, divorce and step-family life

  • Pregnancy and Postpartum support

Mindfulness-based therapies help you focus on your thoughts and feelings without becoming overwhelmed by them. They can be used to help treat depression, stress, and anxiety. Sessions may incorporate techniques such as meditation, gentle yoga stretches and mind-body exercises that can benefit overall coping with life's challenges at any age.
